BTHA presents six Golden Teddy Awards

The BTHA has presented six Golden Teddy Awards to six exceptional individuals representing a number of areas across the industry, all of whom have contributed considerably to the toy sector over many years.

Golden Teddy Awards were presented to Russell Lipman (Wilton Bradley), Paul Wright (Mashal Toy Agencies), Mike Coe (BTHA sustainability consultant), Michael Ives (Mamas and Papas), David Bolton (British Retail Consortium) and Malcolm Horner (Bureau Veritas) at both the Toymaster Show in Harrogate and at a special event in Central London for BTHA Technical experts respectively.

Reasons cited for the accolades included dedicated service to the industry through toy sales, loyal membership of the BTHA Technical Committee, and trustworthiness within their companies, as people of great standing respected by their peers and colleagues alike.

Golden Teddy Awards are given to those who have served the toy industry for more than 15 years and to individuals who have gone over and above expectations, and who possess an extraordinary degree of “niceness”, honesty and integrity and are the industry’s genuinely good people. Golden Teddy Awards give individual contribution and dedication over the years the public recognition it deserves.

Graham Canning, Chairman of the British Toy & Hobby Association, said: “On behalf of us all at the British Toy & Hobby Association, my congratulations go to all our very worthy Golden Teddy Award winners for their loyal and substantial individual contributions to the industry over many years. Our winners represent all that is good about this fantastic industry – dedication, integrity and going over and above expectations. My congratulations once again to them all.”
