Valve reversed undue bans on CS2 (Counter-Strike 2) player accounts. What happened last week, after an error in Valve’s Anti-Cheat (VAC) system, which resulted in unfair bans on around 17,000 accounts.

The company’s action, which became a topic on social media, affected important figures in the scene such as pro player Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras from the Into The Breach team, Sodbayar “Techno4K” Munkhbold from TheMongolz, as well as other stars of the sport.

Valve recognized the error and acted for three days to undo the act. Despite the ban, an interesting fact is that players could still transfer skins, which demonstrates a security breach in the game’s anti-cheat system.
