In other words, the old game for some will become a new game for others (if I can say so). Bringing titles ranging from Dragon’s Dogma 2 to highly anticipated titles on major consoles and PCs.

The Outlast Trials – March 5

We start the month in earnest today (5), with the launch of The Outlast Trials. The title is a prequel to the first two titles in the franchise, exploring strange experiments that took place during the Cold War. The game has some differences compared to its predecessors, such as a character customization system and cooperative multiplayer for up to four people, although it can be played entirely individually.

It has been in Early Access since May last year exclusively on PC, but its final version will also arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S.

Top Racer Collection – March 7

On the 7th, we have a nostalgic launch. Top Racer Collection is a collection that brings together the Top Gears 16 bits in one version. They are Top Racer, Top Race 2, Top Racer 3000 e Top Racer Crossroads – Horizon Chasethe latter inspired by the Brazilian racing game Aquiris.

Now, you may be wondering why the name is different from what we know. Well, in Japan, the franchise is called Top Racer and as time went by, they ended up choosing this name to unify the entire series of games worldwide. Top Racer Collection will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S and Nintendo Switch.

Hi-Fi RUSH – March 18

On March 18th, we will have an Xbox exclusive coming to PlayStation 5. Hi-Fi Rush is a rhythmic hack and slash developed by Tango Gameworks in which we control Chai, a young man who aspires to be a rockstar who accepts to be part of the Armstrong Project, from Vandelay Industries, exchanging his normal arm for a robotic one. It turns out that, in the middle of the process, an MP3 player is implanted in his chest and Vandelay’s robots begin to chase him, meaning that Chai now has to fight for his life and discover what is behind this project.

As said, it is a rhythmic hack and slash, so attacks must be executed to the beat of the music to be more effective and create combos. The soundtrack is absolutely packed with great tracks, like 1,000,000 by Nine Inch Nails, Lonely Boy by The Black Keys, and even Wolfgang’s Fifth Symphony.

On the day of the launch of a free update for all platforms, called Arcade Challenge, which will add a roguelite mode and another that increases the beats per minute of the music up to 200 bpm.

Alone in the Dark – March 20th

On March 20th, we have a new game from a classic psychological horror franchise. Alone in the Dark is a reimagining of the 1992 classic, following Emily Hartwood and Edward Carnby as they investigate to find out what happened to Emily’s uncle, Jeremy Hartwood.

Like most horror games released in recent years, the game will have an over-the-shoulder camera and will feature combat involving firearms and bladed weapons. A highlight of the game is that its script was written by Mikael Hedberg, who was the screenwriter for SOMA e Amnesia.

Alone in the Dark will be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.

Horizon Forbidden West – March 21

The next day, there’s another PlayStation exclusive coming to PC. Horizon Forbidden West is the continuation of Horizon Zero Dawn and accompanies Aloy looking for the source of a plague that kills everything it infects, taking her to the Forbidden West, a hostile and dangerous place, full of destructive machines.

The gameplay remains very close to that of its predecessor, but introduces new combos in hand-to-hand combat, a shield glider, underwater swimming and greater ease of scanning enemies. It will be released on the 21st.

Princess Peach: Showtime – March 22

And there are a trio of big people on the 22nd. We start with a Nintendo exclusive. Princess Peach: Showtime is the first game starring the blonde princess since Super Princess Peachfrom 2005, and shows that it’s not just Barbie who can have a thousand and one professions.

In this theatrical adventure, she will act as a mermaid, cowgirl, skater, superhero and other things to go through the most different levels of this magical and colorful play. Ready for the show?

Dragon’s Dogma 2 – March 22

On the same day, we have a new title from Capcom. After 12 years of the original game, Dragon’s Dogma 2 arrives to heal the fans who were clamoring for a sequel. In this narrative action RPG, players will create their characters and explore this magical world full of fantastic creatures, beings from other worlds and allies.

To avoid adventuring alone, the game allows you to create and customize AI-controlled allies or even “borrow” characters created by other players. It is worth mentioning that this does not imply online matches, as the game will be singleplayer.

The trailers show impressive visuals, scary monsters and incredible combat, which has excited many players, even those who had no contact with the original title. Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.

Rise of the Ronin – 22 de março

Rise of the Roninor The Rise of Roninwas developed by Team Ninja, the same as Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and from duology Niohand is set in Japan in 1863, following the story of an anonymous protagonist in a chaotic time of war, disease and political unrest.

The game has stood out mainly for its world, bringing historical cities of Yokohama, Kyoto and Edo, its variety in locomotion, featuring horses, hooks and gliders, and its combat, which seems extremely fluid and mixes katanas with firearms.
