game releases this week (03/03)

March continues to be a month full of releases. And the big highlight of the week is The Outlast Trials which, after being available exclusively for PC for a long time, will finally arrive on old and current generation consoles.

Already The Thaumaturgeafter being postponed so as not to coincide with the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, will arrive on consoles and PC in the coming days. And speaking of exclusivity, As Dusk Falls will be released for PS4 and PS5 this week, after a long time exclusive to Microsoft and PC video games.

For the most nostalgic players, the week will bring Top Racer Collection, a collection of all the classic games from the racing franchise, plus a new game. And finally, WWE 2K24 will be released for PC and consoles, to the delight of wrestling fans. Check out the complete list and respective prices.

1. The Thaumaturge – March 4

The Thaumaturge It was originally going to be released last week. However, due to the launch of Final Fantasy VII Rebirthits developers decided to postpone the launch so that it wouldn’t be overshadowed by the Square Enix classic, which is considered by many to be the most anticipated game of 2024.

The RPG game has been attracting attention for bringing a system that mixes tactical combat, similar to games like X-COM e Marvel’s Midnight Suns, in a plot that takes place in 1905, in Russian imperial tsarism. In it, you need to fight against imperial forces, using supernatural powers in combat. The game does not yet have a set price.

2. The Outlast Trials – March 5th

After having an early launch last year, exclusively for PCs, The Outlast Trials finally arrives on last and current generation consoles. The game features a cooperative mode for the first time, where you can team up with five other players to survive terrifying challenges.

The history of The Outlast Trials takes place during the Cold War, where players are kidnapped for an experiment involving brainwashing and mind control. Now, you have to survive the crazy things that come your way, which are more dangerous than you imagine. The game is now available for pre-order starting at R$214.90.

3. As Dusk Falls – March 7

After a long time being exclusive to Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC, As Dusk Falls will finally be released for PS4 and PS5. And on Sony consoles, the game will have new features in terms of gameplay, with tactile feedback technologies, and the use of DualSense touchpad controls, which players will be able to feel throughout the entire story.

This story focuses on two families, whose lives end up intertwined due to an unsuccessful robbery in 1998. From then on, the plot brings elements of decision-making that will directly influence how their path will be traced to the end. Final. The game is now on pre-sale starting at R$159.90.

4. Top Racer Collection – March 7

  • Plataformas: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch e PC

For nostalgic fans of racing games, the week has a great gift in store. Top Racer Collection is a collection of all the classics from the franchise. Are they:

The games maintain the pixelated look of the 16-bit era, and their original songs. Furthermore, it is possible to play them in native resolution, with art as a screen filler, or in expanded form, in Widescreen format. The game is already on pre-sale starting at R$44.99, and has a demo version available for free.

5. WWE 2K24 – March 8th

  • Plataformas: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X e PC

The world’s most famous wrestling organization will win its annual match this week. WWE 2K24 arrives on consoles and PCs after a turbulent publicity period, where it was necessary to remove one of the game’s stars, fighter Brock Lesnar, due to his involvement in accusations of sexual abuse against a former employee of the organization. Lesnar was removed from the cover and also from the game, where he is not available among the fighters.

Other than that, the game promises to be one of the best in history. It will have new camera angles, including one similar to the official live broadcasts, as well as improved graphics and 90% of the facial expressions updated. The game is already on pre-sale starting at R$299.99, and has a special 40th anniversary edition of the organization, which costs R$599.50.
